Course Description: Approximately 3 hours of classroom hydraulics and pump theory refresher followed by approximately 6 hours of practical skill evolutions. This is geared towards pump operators with pumping experience who would like to brush up on hydraulic background and discuss proper pump discharge pressures for fire flows needed by today’s combustibles in structure fires, as well as review proper pump operations in a practical skill environment. The practical skills will be based on the need and request of the students in the class. A New York State Fire Training Certificate will be issued as a refresher class for those students completing the entire 12 hours. |
