Robert Duell - Fire&EMS Coordinator/Director of Fire and Emergency Management-Appointed 2003
County Car 1261, Robert "Bob" Duell has dedicated over 33 years to the local fire service, 20 years as a career firefighter for the City of Cortland in which he served as a Fire Captain/Municipal Training Officer for 10 years. Prior to his appointment to the City of Cortland Fire Department, Coordinator Duell served 15 years in law enforcement.

"Disaster Lady") DeRusso was appointed in 1986. Brenda serves
as the liaison between Cortland County
and the offices of
NYS SEMO
and FEMA writes/reviews/revises the
(CEMP) for Cortland County; manage and maintain all department books and
records for both fire & emergency management; administer and manage
scope of work/quarterly and annual financial records for several grants
this office is simultaneously
administering; participate in National Weather Service conferences and
quarterly public awareness campaigns; media spokesperson for emergency
management issues of the department; serve as the Community Emergency
Coordinator of the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC).
