Fall Fire School/ Countywide Refresher Training
*Limited to 20 Students Each Unit*

The concept of this inaugural refresher program is to provide those in attendance with a hands-on opportunity to enhance their general fireground knowledge, skills and abilities. Topics covered will comply with the annual OSHA training requirements 1910.156 for fire personnel. This training will not be sufficient to comply with the training requirements for interior personnel 1910.156/1910.134.
Interior certified personnel are encouraged to also register for the October 23, 2007 “Live Fire” refresher training opportunity @ www.cortlandcountyfire.org.
Prerequisites: Signed Training Authorization Letter, SSO or FFI (equivalent)
*Bring 20-32 oz of sports drink or water for each lesson*
Unit #1- TBA @ 1830 hr
Hydrant Evolutions, Hoseline Deployment, SCBA, Fireground Safety
STUDENTS WILL NEED (1) SCBA w/ SPARE CYLINDER. STUDENTS WILL NOT BE PERFORMING SKILLS THAT REQUIRE THE WEARING OF AN SCBA.
Unit #2- TBA @ 1830 hr
Rural water supply operations: portable pond operation, fill site operations and response & highway safety
Unit #3- TBA, 2007 @ 1830 hr
Ground Ladders, truck company ops, knots & general hazards
*STUDENTS WILL NEED A PERSONAL UTILITY ROPE*
