This newly reformatted course is designed it give the first responders (i.e. police, fire & EMS) the skills to recognize the hazards involved in responding to a clandestine drug lab in particular, a methamphetamine lab.

The Clandestine Drug Lab Awareness program is a technical program brought to you by the New York State Police and the Office of Fire Prevention and Control.

Why study clandestine labs; fire departments, emergency medical services and law enforcement are frequently first on scene at clandestine drug labs when a fire, chemical release or medical emergency occurs. Off all the clandestine drug laboratories seized in the U.S. in the last ten years, 80% to 98.9% produced Methamphetamine.
