His vast experience has provided SFI Irish the unique opportunity to be involved with assorted course curriculum improvements and development for OFPC. Mahlon's passion for the fire service is very evident when you view his collection of antique American LaFrance fire apparatus. Dedicated on October 18, 2009
Mahlon Irish Jr. Training House Simulator The unique “House in a House” simulation area is named for an individual whom has dedicated a quarter century of his time training the firefighters of the greater Cortland County region. Mahlon’s enthusiasm, immense comprehension of and love for the fire service is infectious. Instructor Irish’s uncanny ability to impart his knowledge, skills and abilities continues to enable the greatest potential from all of his students which translates into incredibly well trained, “combat ready” firefighters and for this reason, this area is named after NYS Fire Instructor #1204 Mahlon Irish Jr. as our way of saying “thank you” for making us all better and safer firefighters. |
